Everything you buy from The Property Paper Co. comes with a license for use in your own rental property business only. This page explains what that covers, in plain language.

What you can do

Use the documents in your own rental property business, for properties you own or personally manage.
Fill in, edit and customize them to fit your business, whether they're fillable PDFs, Excel or Google Sheets files, or Canva-editable versions.
Print as many copies as you need for your own use.
Give completed copies to the people you work with, such as tenants, applicants and vendors. A signed lease, a condition report or a notice is normal business.
Keep copies in your own files and backups.

What you can't do

Resell, redistribute, share, give away or sublicense the files, in whole or in part, in any form.
Upload them to a marketplace, template site, file-sharing service or public website.
Share Canva template links with anyone else.
Remove or change the copyright notice.
Claim the files as your own or present them as your own original work.
Use them to make products you sell, such as templates, bundles, courses or guides for other landlords.

Canva-editable files

Some documents include a link to an editable Canva template. The link is for your use only. When you open it, make a copy in your own Canva account. Canva has its own terms, which apply when you use it.

Ownership

You're buying a license to use the documents, not the copyright. The Property Paper Co. keeps the copyright and every right not listed here.

Our documents are organizational tools. They are not legal advice and can't replace a lawyer. Landlord-tenant laws and required forms vary by state and locality, so review any document, especially leases and notices, against your local rules before you use it.
